Ooh La La Boutique and Spa are hosting the 5^th Annual Purple Party to benefit MGA.  This year’s Purple Party will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Cefalo’s Banquet and Event Center (428 Washington Avenue, Carnegie, PA 15106).  Ooh La La Boutique and Spa’s proprietors Jo Beth Barr and Jamie Stivers are planning a wonderful evening of fantastic food, great music & dancing, and lots of chances to win some fabulous prizes!  This year’s Purple Party is being sponsored by Anita Astorino Kulik, State Representative, 45^th District.

All proceeds raised from this event will directly support patients with myasthenia gravis.  Your donation of $80 per ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, homemade desserts, a complimentary purple cocktail, great prizes as well as music & dancing.  All attendees who wear purple will have a chance to win a special prize.  A cash bar will be available and there will be multiple raffles throughout the evening.

MGA is pleased to continue our in-person support group meetings for people with myasthenia gravis, as well as their family and friends. The spring support group meetings are scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2024; Saturday, April 13, 2024; and Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12 PM – 2 PM at the Panera Bread – Waterworks (942 Freeport Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238).  Cindy Spring, RN, CCM will be leading the discussion at both meetings.  Light refreshments will be served.

The 2024 MGA Golf Outing will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club.

Registration is at 11:30 AM with a shot gun start at 1:00 PM.

Based on the popularity of this fundraiser in the last few years, MGA will be offering a lottery ticket again this year.

This year’s lottery ticket – “MGA Fourth of July Special” – is now available for purchase.  For your $10 donation to MGA, you will receive a lottery ticket with four numbers on each ticket (only 250 tickets will be sold).  Prizes for the lottery include…

July 2, 2023: $100 cash
July 3, 2023: $250 cash
July 4, 2023: $500 cash
July 5, 2023: $250 cash
July 6, 2023: $100 cash

Winning number determined by the first number drawn from the 7 p.m. PA Pick3 Lottery.

MGA will be hosting the 3rd Annual MGA Golf Outing to benefit the organization’s FREE patient support services.  The outing is slated for Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Gibsonia, PA.

Registration/check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  In addition to 18 holes of golf, attendees will also be treated to a grilled lunch during registration and a buffet dinner.

Individual registration is $125 per golfer and registration for a foursome is $500.  Tickets are also available for a “dinner only” option @ $30 per person.  The outing will feature a number of different activities including a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest, as well as several other on-course events.  There will also be a 50-50 drawing, a basket raffle, and a silent auction with fabulous prizes!
