The MG Treatment Center offers patient-centered care coordination provided primarily through a qualified registered nurse. The nurse is accessible to all patients and is capable of answering questions, resolving problems, distributing educational information, and providing emotional support. She also facilitates patient assistance programs; addresses general concerns; manages the clinic schedule to ensure that every patient has a specific block of time to see the neurologist; coordinates the patient's care with their primary care physician and other health care providers; as well as preauthorizing testing and prescriptions with third party vendors including insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. A person with myasthenia gravis does not necessarily have to attend MGA's Treatment Center in order to request certain types of assistance from the nurse. Do not hesitate to call MGA's office if you need to speak with the nurse.
